Purl Clear Wax is a "3 in 1" that can be used as a Cleaner, Base Prep, & Storage Wax. This multi-use wax, penetrates and conditions your base. It can also be used for cleaning bases without overly drying them out. 

CLEANING:

To clean your ski or snowboard bases and to avoid drying them out, Purl recommends hot scraping to help keep the wax saturation level and perfect glide. Hot scraping means scraping your bases immediately after use. When you hot scrape you can see impurities literally being peeled off right in front of you. Purl recommends doing this a few times and brushing in-between each waxing. This helps lift dirt and debris off the base.

BASE PREP & CONDITIONER:

Keep your bases saturated with wax. This "3 in 1" works as a penetrative base prep wax that helps condition the bases and give you a fresh start.

STORAGE:

With a clean base, apply a THICK layer of the wax, Purl recommends using "much more wax than you normally would" and make sure that the hot wax drips down on the edges too. Let your ski cool down, and do NOT scrape or brush. The idea behind this is to seal off the base and edges from air and moisture. Moisture can lead to rust, and exposure can dry out the bases.
